My Yoga

Curiosity brought me to practice yoga and love made want to live it. I took my first class at 6am in 2012 and found something wonderful in the simplicity of moving and breathing. I left that class feeling strangely refilled, and not entirely sure why, I kept returning until the residue of a regular meditation and yoga practice spilled off my yoga mat and into my life. I noticed a shift within myself. I was happier, more compassionate, and better equipped to create space and acceptance for myself, my family and friends, and the patients I cared for during my nursing job.

Since completing teacher training in 2015 (Veda Yoga Center), I’ve continued to grow personally and as a teacher, and have discovered my authentic voice is in teaching that embraces curiosity and non-judgement. I teach with an emphasis on listening to and honoring your body by accepting it for what it is at this very moment – something I continue to learn as a constant student of yoga.

As a nurse’s assistant and employee in the healthcare system I am also a huge supporter of the therapeutic properties of yoga, especially when combined with natural healing plants such as cannabis. I aim to create yoga that is accessible for everyBODY and to bring awareness to the mindfulness, healing, and bliss of cannabis-enhanced yoga.
